Senior Executive Consultant

Gary Albright

Gary Albright has successfully developed strategies and implemented major Talent Acquisition initiatives for rapidly growing technology companies. Prior to joining Kerri Evans Associates, he was the Director of Talent Acquisition at Amazon Lab126. Lab126 is the innovation engine for Amazon’s consumer electronics devices including Kindle e-readers, FireTV, Fire Tablets, and the Alexa speech platform devices. He built the systems, processes and recruiting teams in Sunnyvale and Seattle that, over the course of six years, grew the business in Sunnyvale from 240 employees (with one product in the market) to an organization of over 4,000 employees (with over 35 products in the market). Over the span of two years, his team grew the Alexa organization in Seattle from 300 employees to over 2,000.

Earlier in his career, he built the recruiting team to support a newly formed technical consulting business at Cadence Design Systems. Prior to the establishment of this new business, Cadence, with an employee base of 700, never previously hired more than 200 new employees in a year. Gary’s recruiting team hired 400 people in its first year, and at least 1,000 new hires in each of the next four years.

Gary was a consultant in the early stage of a start-up Trovix, a company with a revolutionary search technology. He was instrumental in helping secure Series A funding and became a member of the executive leadership team. Trovix was sold to Monster, Inc. for $73 million.

Additionally, he has held senior Human Resources positions and/or consulted at companies including BEA, Sun Microsystems, Applied Materials, Veritas, Amdahl, and Advanced Micro Devices.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Florida. He has volunteered time to serve in executive positions on the board of directors of Project Hired, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to assist people with disabilities to obtain gainful employment. He is currently an advisor to two start-up companies developing products and services to the Talent Acquisition and Relocation Services industry.
